Safety & Protection
SafetyGard UL325 Approved Light Curtain – A UL325 approved non-contact primary entrapment device that prevents damage to an object in the door’s pathway in addition to minimizing damage to the closure itself.
Unique Features
APEX Core SmartController – This IP54 (NEMA 3 equivalent) controller features plug-and-play connections to operator and standard sensors to reduce installation time. Its compact panel features an LCD screen for guided commissioning, electronic limit setting, and status/error messaging. A NEMA 4 upgrade is available.
Monitored Protection – Standard UL 325-2010 compliant, NEMA 4X-rated photo eyes allow for momentary contact operation. Interruption of the beam immediately halts and reverses the grille to the fully open position. The photo eyes are shipped loose as standard.
120V Compatibility – The system is compatible with 120V input via an optional wall-mounted transformer. The required mounting space is 13.5″ wide by 16.125″ high.
SmartSync Diagnostic Tool – Connect the SmartSync Diagnostic Tool to the APEX controller for instant door or grille diagnostics. This tool empowers field technicians and Electrical Support Specialists to effortlessly diagnose, repair, and resolve issues with the APEX controller—streamlining your workflows and helping customers get back to business.

Usage
These doors are designed to handle heavy, continuous traffic.
To ensure consistent, cycle-to-cycle performance, every TruCycle Door includes a powerful 3-year or 500,000-cycle warranty, whichever comes first.
Standard Materials and Finishes
TruCycle Doors come with a unique and lasting powder coat finish customized for high-cycle usage as standard. There are two material options for both the service and insulated curtain:
Galvanized steel:
- Finished with a rust-inhibiting CycleShield® finish in Gray, Tan or White
- The CycleShield finish for High Performance Doors. The base coat is consistent with ASTM A653, and is finished with a baked-on polyester powder coating. CycleShield is:
- Friction and wear-resistant for high-cycle applications
- Rust inhibiting and resistant to acids, alkalis and oils at normal temperatures
- Recommended for exterior, corrosive and/or abrasive environments
- Available as an option in a palette of more than 180 standard RAL colors
- For a more durable finish, upgrade to CycleShield® Ultra™ powder coat finish. It is a polyester-based, textured, wear-resistant clear coat that provides improved durability against deterioration and/or marring of the curtain during regular use.
- 300 series stainless steel with a #4 finish
Finish/gauge availability varies. Contact us for detailed finish/gauge availability or special requests.
Operation
The TruCycle Door utilizes a direct-drive operator with a motor-mounted Variable Frequency Drive (VFD). This provides precision control and allows for a soft start and stop, extending the life of your door system. The operating system pairs with the APEX™ Core SmartController, putting reliable performance diagnostics at your fingertips.
